Scouts and Parents,

For those of you that signed up for our fishing trip to Lake Erie this coming June, I wanted to stress the importance of getting your deposit paid if you haven't done so already. Due to the nature of this trip, we are limited to 36 total scouts and adults.

When I initially circulated the sign up sheet last October I got an overwhelming response of 36 total people, and consequently contacted our fishing guide to increase our number of boats from four to six. At that time, we were required to place a deposit of $1,200 so I asked all who had signed up to put down an initial payment of $50 to cover this. Most of those who had signed up have paid this, and it was enough to cover our deposit. But a few of you have not, and for those who still have to take care of this I am asking you to get this to Leslie Snyder as soon as possible. This will help us identify who is truly committed to going on the trip, and also will cut your balance due in June when we take the trip. If you do not pay the $50 per person deposit, I cannot guarantee that I can hold your spot.

If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me and ask. I have the complete list of those who have signed up and paid their deposits, so if you are not sure whether or not you have paid, please e-mail me and I can let you know.

Thanks for your interest in this trip.

By the way, I was out practicing for Lake Erie this morning, and this is what I caught. (see attached photo)

Yours in Scouting

Lake Erie Fishing Trip Details for Summer of 2010
Dates: Wednesday June 16th - Thursday June 17th 2010
Description of Outing:
This is a full service guided fishing trip to Lake Erie, for world class walleye fishing.
The package includes on night of lodging and one full day of fishing the next day.
We will be chartering six 30' sport fishing boats for the excursion, with a maximum
capacity of six people per boat. For this reason the trip will be limited to the first
36 people to sign up.
Accommodations are in a lodge loacated approximately 2 miles from the marina
where we will depart from. Some of our group will also stay in the motel across the
street from the lodge, due to the large number in our group.
What to Expect:
Lake Erie is known for its fantastic walleye fishing, and last year's trip was no exception.
Two of our scouts caught "Fish Ohio" walleye, a fish over 28" in length, and received
a special recognition from the Ohio Dept. of Fish and Wildlife.
Cost:
The trip will cost about $150 per person, but may be slightly less if fuel prices remain
stable. This includes the guide's gratuity, but does not include costs for gas to get
there and back or a fishing license.
