All, This is a reminder that the first Merit Badge Challenge date at Sycamore is this Saturday Feb 20th.
Mary Jane Jones will pass out the Blue Cards on Saturday at the Sycamore High School . Mr. Eversole will also be available to assist.
This Saturday is Troop 43's turn to clean up after the event. This should take only about 15-20 minutes and will involve light cleaning (like picking up trash left in some classrooms). Please be flexible to allow your Scout to stay a few minutes to help with this activity.
Remember car pooling is being organized individually.
THINGS TO BRING TO THE MERIT BADGE CHALLENGE 1. Wear Class A 2. Bring your prework. 3. Bring a SASE (Self Addressed Stamped Envelop) for each Merit Badge. You need to provide these. These get used to mail the completed blue cards back to you after the end of the 3 days. 4. Bring the packet that the Scouts received in December. 5. Bring Money for supplies for some Merit Badges. Check the prework page to see the costs. 6. Bring lunch or snacks or money to buy food. There are breaks between the classes and the Scouts get hungry. 7. Plan to get to Sycamore by about 8am. Opening ceremony is 8:15. There is usually lots of traffic. 8. A printed copy of what Merit Badges your Scout is taking and a Map of the building so they can find the room locations. These were sent in a previous email.
Let me know if you have any questions. ASM Dunlop

All, If you have a Scout attending Merit Badge Challenge, please let me know if you are able to stay at Sycamore High School on either Feb 20th or Feb27th. We need to have proper adult coverage at this event to make it successful.

| Troop 43 Merit Badge Scouts,
Here is an update on Sycamore Merit Bage Challenge.
1. Room numbers have changes. See the attached file named Room Assignments.xls for the latest rooms. A map in attached as file Sycamore 2010 Floor Plans.pdf. Please print a copy of this and be sure your Scout has this so they can find their room on the first day.
2. Transportation to/from Sycamore High School will be coordinated individually by family this year. I have attached the list of registered Scouts so you can contact people for carpooling. We will NOT be organizing a Troop wide carpool. The Troop wide carpool ended up being too complex last year with Scouts needing to arrive late/leave early/drive separately. 3. I am looking for adult volunteers for each of the dates below who can stay at Sycamore High School during the Merit Badge Challenge. Please let me know if you can help on Feb 20 or Feb 27.
Feb 6 -- Mary Jean Jones; Jim Lightfiled
Feb 20 -- Dick Jensen and PERSON NEEDED
Feb 27 -- PERSON NEEDED and PERSON NEEDED 4. Be sure to review the notes below and the packet you should have received in December to be sure you come prepared.
5. scanned copies of the prework in case you have lost your packet are in the document library below.
