Please set aside May 7th 9:00am-12:00, location TBD for our first quarterly PLC planning/training meeting.
From the goals you wrote down at the TLT in January, I understood that you want to have a more organized Troop and Troop meetings. Frankly, the one hour a month PLC meeting is not going to get us there. That is just not enough time to get good meeting plans together, set troop goals or have extended leadership training.
Therefore, we are trying something new as part of your ongoing training as leaders. This meeting will include some of the following:
Review current meeting structure keep/make changes
Plan Troop meetings for May, June and July
An agenda will be distributed before the meeting.
Planning 3 months of Troop meetings in advance will do a couple of things. It will allow us to be more proactive, give scouts time to organize events for the meetings and give the adults time to arrange/reserve different events. In addition, the next group of leaders will have their first month of meetings planned allowing them time to get adjusted and have their TLT and quarterly PLC planning meeting.
We will still have our monthly PLC at the first Monday meeting of every month to review the monthly plans and make sure nothing needs to change. Please email a response to let me know that you will be attending.
Please make every effort to attend.

April 19:
I have a couple of reminders:
1. NO Troop Meeting on April 25th.
2. Patrol Flags are due at the May 2nd meeting. Make sure your Patrol has their flag done. The flags will be judged by the Adults and there will be a prize for each member of the winning Patrol.
The following MUST be part of the Patrol flag:
Names of all the Patrol Members
Note: a Patrol Yell may be necessary as a tie breaker, so you may want to be ready with a Patrol Yell.
Double Note: NO food or perishable items may be used in the making of the flags.
3. Caving Campout April 29 - May 1- there is an EVITE for campout sign-ups.

JAN 3, 2010
Hi Troop,
I hope everyone had a great Christmas and Holiday break. Here is a quick update of our January meeting schedule. There will be more details after our PLC meeting.
January 3 - No Meeting (no school)
January 10 - PLC and regular meeting
January 17 - New Officer Training (it will be in the evening, time and location TBD). It is required for all new officers even if you have gone through it before. There is no school that day, but the boys wanted to have the training this night instead of on a Saturday.
January 24 - Regular meeting
January 31 - Regular meeting
That is it for now. Happy New Year!
Regards,
Ron Green Scoutmaster

Our rechartering process is nearly complete and that means an updated email list. If you're receiving this message and you are part of Troop 43, you don't need to respond. If you want an additional name added to the distribution list, please let me know.
If you're receiving this email and you're not part of Troop 43, please let me know.
The Troop Master List availiable under the scout log in, shows all 43 members of Troop 43 along with the registered adults. If you can review the list and make sure your information is correct, especially cell phone numbers, that would be helpful. Also, I haven't reflected any changes to patrols. This Troop 43 list will be good until we add new Scouts and parents in February.
Please e-mail any changes to the list to the webmaster at aavendettacrew43@yahoo.com
