District News

If you have not signed up and plan to go, I need to know by Monday night, April 25th.  I will be contacting the cave on Tuesday morning confirming our count.

Please let me know the age of your scout, as this will determine what their payment is.

The cave provided the following instructions:

        * Cave temperature is 52 degrees F year round (jacket or sweatshirt recommended)
        * Backpacks, video recording devices, food or drinks not permitted in cave
        * Wear two layers of warm clothing including socks (long sleeves and long pants required)
        * Bring a complete change of clothing including dry shoes (showers available on site)
        * Signed release forms for all participants, including adults required
        * Helmets and lamps will be provided

Again, we will be leaving Friday at 5:00 p.m., meeting at the Mason Middle School back parking lot.  It is a three hour drive, so please be on time for our departure.

We will be camping for two nights, so please pack accordingly.  Remember to bring spending money, as we will be stopping for dinner on the way to the cave Friday night.  The patrol meal plan will include an easy breakfast Saturday, sack lunch for Saturday, patrol dinner Saturday night, and an easy breakfast for Sunday (easy means no cooking with patrol equipment, just something quick and easy).

If you have questions, please let me know.  Please respond to this email address, as my home computer is being worked on and I won't have access to it until Tuesday.
