Kodiak is a trek-based youth leadership training course for Venturers and Boy scouts aged 14 and up.  Dan Beard Council will be offering Kodiak for the first time in July, 2011.  I encourage you to consider taking the course.  It will provide a high adventure experience in 3 day increments, be close to home and be relatively inexpensive (when compared to cost of Philmont, Yosemite or SeaBase trips.
